Wild Beast Self-Portraits

The third grade artists are creating portraits in the manner of the Fauves (Wild Beasts). That means the artists are more concerned with emotion and color than realism. However, I am always amazed at how the portrait looks so similar to the artist who created it.

End of the year

Robert Indiana Hack

This is the fourth grade hacking Robert Indiana's "love" artwork. The students recreated it using morse code, Braille, hieroglyphs and more.

Empty bowls

This year Shamrock Spring participated in the fight against hunger with Empty Bowls. Each one of the fourth graders created a bowl. Then the families were invited to the auction event and also dined on a simple meal of soup and bread. All the students felt really empowered knowing their creation helped another person.
